Join the Snohomish County Master Gardener Foundation!
The Master Gardener Program is a partnership between WSU and Snohomish County,
both of which provide funding and support for the Cooperative Extension, our parent organization. However, the activities of our robust volunteer program receive no state or county support. This is where the Snohomish County Master Gardener Foundation comes in. The Foundation's purpose is to support the Master Gardener Program by providing funding for our activities. As a 501(c)(3) entity, the Foundation can receive and dispense tax deductible charitable contributions as well as conducting fund-raising events and activities.

Gardening Series, garden tours and merchandise sales.
- helps fund training classes and continuing education for Master Gardeners.
- provides leadership for MG projects, including Rain Garden mentors,
answer clinics, the greenhouse project and MG demonstration gardens.
- supplies funding for community garden start-ups and scholarships for students
beginning their study in horticulture.
- provides funds for materials and equipment for Jennings, McCollum and
Legion gardens; materials used in school programs, and additions to office and library
collections.
- puts on the annual Master Gardener Recognition Dinner and provides
awards.
- serves as a liaison between Master Gardeners, WSU staff and the
community.
- provides information to MG’s and others through Foundation meetings,
the Sustainable Gardening series of lectures, email communications, and through
outreach to the community.
- speaks for the Master Gardener Program in our community and beyond.
- provides a forum for formulating, designing, and discussing new and
continuing MG projects.
